We are now authorised to provide CQS training
We have been authorised by The Law Society to offer the core and update training courses required as part of your CQS accreditation. We can now offer the following courses:
- Core Training – Financial Crime
- Core Training – Protocol in Practice
- 2018 Update Training – Conveyancing Practice
- 2018 Update Training – Risk and Compliance
We are pleased to provide these courses on our cloud-based learning management system which can also deliver our additional training libraries (including GDPR and AML) and can help you to manage your competency framework.
Our CQS training courses are now available for your firm to subscribe to for £35 per person/per course + VAT with discounts available for multiple users. We are also offering an annual CQS training license that can be added to a new or existing Riliance Subscription.
What courses do I need to do by when?
The Law Society relaunched CQS training in August 2018. This means firms may have different training courses to complete by different dates depending on whether you have just gained accreditation, or whether you have been re-accredited after November 2017.
Firms with initial accreditation
If you have been initially accredited and staff have not completed the Core Training – Financial Crime course then they must do that first. New staff working on CQS accredited matters must also complete the Core Training unless they have completed it at a previous organisation.
Firms being re-accredited
If you have been re-accredited by the CQS office between the 1st of November 2017 and 31st of July 2018, all staff must complete the 2 update courses by the 31st of January 2019.
If you have been re-accredited by the CQS office on or after the 1st of August 2018, you have 6 months from your re-accreditation date to complete the training.
Key changes to the CQS Core Practice Management Standards (CPMS) come into effect from 1st May 2019. Riliance are here to help you prepare for these changes.
Riliance already support a large number of firms with CQS training and are delighted to announce our expanded range of services for CQS accredited firms.
